Off to Zanzibar

Hans and Elisme were bitten by something, they thought it could a spider. Elisme had bite marks all around her waste and Hans, at a very sensitive part. It started to turn into blisters. Hans was getting worried and so Elisme sent photos to Odette and Michelle. Odette's father, Dr.Johan, came back saying it must be a Mango fly. He sent a prescription and Adam insisted that we go to the American clinic, after seeing the photo's. There, a Dutch doctor, Dr. Smith, who specializes in tropical insect diseases, gave us Antibiotics. Thank you for everybody's help.

11:00 we were in the hotel’s vehicle, on our way to the Port. Our Ferry to Zanzibar, departed at 12:30. We sat on the deck with beautiful views of all the boats. 2 hours later, Zanzibar was in sight.

It was fairly easy to get our passports stamp to enter Zanzibar, but to get through the Police checkpoint was a complete nightmare. We ended up waiting in long queues, with nobody really knowing what was going on. Hans decided to skip the checkpoint and go straight to the last person to enter. He just greeted us and said “Welcome” – we waited in vain.

“Mr. Swart” appeared clearly on a board as we got out. Mr. Talif’s taxi was ready to take us to our hotel.
The Boys were very happy with the rooms and hot showers. Checking in was very easy.
