Early bird catches the worm

Our Captain gave us a wake-up call at 4:30. Chris, the chef at Chico Porta, was ready with cheese and tomato rolls. His freshly brewed coffee was just what we needed for our journey back.

The ocean was like a mirror, our boat headed straight across the sea, compass set on Baobab Tree. Joseph and our vehicles were waiting there for us. The Sunrise was exquisite, coming over the blue water, framed by Mangrove trees.
This time we didn't have showers of water over us as there was no wind.
After 45 min the big Baobab tree was in sight and just behind that was Joseph and our vehicles.

The boys were eager to see what the results of their Solar panels were. They have done their job efficiently - all fridges and batteries were “green”.
The keys were turned and the wheels were ready to roll again.

Today, Thursday, 16 July, we are heading to the Revoma. Two missionaries, Andre and Annemarie, will give as shelter. Upon arrival, a big wild Mango tree spread its wings wide open and welcomed us to stay.  A nice round fire place on the ground, a washbasin, 2 toilets  and 2 showers (spotlessly clean) were more than enough for us.

Everybody appreciated their clean beds - Hans and Elisme in their boudoir, Chris and Julia in Cassa Aha and Wimcar and Nellie in Cassa Alu. By now this is 5 star accommodation for the 6 of us.

We invited Andre and Annemarie to come and have supper with us. Elisme made an Indian Coconut Chicken pot, served with tomato salsa. Pudding was Pawpaw, red orange and cream.
After a small mug of coffee, we said our goodnights and everybody went off to bed - it was a long day.

Friday , 17 July,  we will cross the Revoma to enter Tanzania.
