Russel’s Camp offered a true African fib. All the Expats
get together here every night.
We will stay over here 3 nights if you can call our first
morning hours as a night. WIFI was available when the electricity was on, so we
could all call our loved ones on a WHATSAPP call. Water the same, so we had to
watch when the water was there, then we could shower. Joseph was in charge of
cleaning all our bed linen. It was a necessity after 12 days.
Elisme's job was to get everybody's photos on her IPAD and
choose the best ones to send to Michelle for the blog. Hans was working hard to organize a visit to Ibo Island. He was busy arranging a boat and safe
parking at Tanyangany where our cars would stay for 3 nights under the watchful
eye of Joseph. They say that if you have
explored Ibo Island, you have arrived.
Chris and Julia went to see an American Doctor at a clinic
to replace all their chronic medication.
Wimcar and Nellie went shopping to get what was needed
for the next 10 days. The Ranger has a crack in its body on the back left side.
Wimcar, being an Engineer himself, bore a hole at the end of the crack in a V
shape and he was ready to go again.
On 13 July we left at 7:15 after Wimcar has paid our bill
and Hans has done our THANKS GIVING with hearts full of praise to GOD for
taking us through our MUGGING, OBSTACLES and NIGHTMARE DRIVE.
Our journey of 100 km to our destination took us 4 hours;
that says it all about the road.
