We arrived at Ibo Island by motor boat. Julia was soaking
wet. Wimcar was watching the island and wished that we could stay in the Guest
House which was in our view. His dream came true - Chico Porta here we come.
We went for sundowners at Ibo Lodge with a beautiful view
over the beach.
Getting back for Dinner at Chico, a delightful fish dish
was awaiting us. Apple Crumble concluded the meal. Coffee was served at a
bonfire in the middle of the garden.
Early morning Hans and Elisme went to the Penthouse stoep
to have their coffee. Soon Julia and
Chris joined them. Breakfast was served at the pool under the Pergola.
Then we embarked on our tour through the town. There were
some improvement, but most of the businesses of 8 years ago, when Hans and
Elisme were here last, has closed their doors. There are NO SHOPS on the Island
except for the Silver shop
at the Fort.
Now, sitting at Ibo Lodge, with a bottle of red wine and prawns, as an aperitif, Elisme can send her info for the blog, they have WIFI.
